Reveiw: Half Life 2 Please note, I didn't put in every detail of this game, mostly becuase Im bored. But also becuase I don't want to spoil it. I managed to find the time to play through half life 2. I must admit, It’s the coolest thing I have ever played. Just the fact that the physics of the game are so realistic is something that is EXELENT about it. It has such a great engine and it hardly ever lags. So… I’m going to describe best as I can what playing this game is like. So your Gordon freeman. Your dreaming and seeing the strange person who has been keeping you alive all this time. Also known as “Gman”  You wake up on a train and the train stops… You get out and see the strange world… Welcome to city 17! You encounter stupid alien policemen known as “Combine” Above you huge screens of Dr. Wallace Breen are displayed overhead.  The combine show no mercy when you get to close. They well whap you hard with there sunstick. You don’t have to worry though. As you get your revenge on these bastards soon enough. You meet up with some people that are good friends to you, Barney, And dr. Kleiner at a secret rebel base. Dr. Kleiner has a pet head crab named Lamar. Head crabs are aliens that jump on your head and take control of your body. However Dr. Kleiner claims that they are “De-beaked” Dr. Kleiner:  You need to escape from city 17 so they give you your crowbar so you can go out and kick those combine asses. You travel your way across the canals into the area of Eli Vance’s rebel base. They give you some supply’s as you run out the back way from invading combine… By this time you have allot of weapons anyway… probably a good thing considering what your about to face… BTW, you also meet Alyx Vance… Ravenholm is a city that the combine launched to many head crab canisters in to. They ended up turning everyone in the city into zombies. Ravenholm is a huge hell hole of a level that I would not recommend you play at night…  At first you encounter regular slow zombies that trudge along slowly. You kill them off through the level hearing a person laugh somewhere not to far away… Its, FATHER GRIGORY! A Christian monk who stays there to put the restless zombie souls out of the pain and suffering they have to go through by shooting them! “COME TO THE LIGHT!”  So… he gives you a shotgun and you kill not just the slow zombies but now the fast ones… Reguler zombie:  Fast one:  He gets you out of Ravenholm and you proceed to the coast where you battle antlions and assist others! Antlion:  Antlion Guard  Sometimes I wonder why half life 2 isn’t that popular and why people like to play stupid games instead of it. Probably because the plot is to sophisticated for the average gamer. This has been a complete unorganized report of one of my faveorite games, Half Life 2. |
